Tasting Note: Deep purple on the edges with a deep concentrated middle color. Aromas of blueberry, black cherry and vanilla. The black fruits all there but not spicy at all, due to great light exposure. There is an amazing harmony and balance of black cherry, plum and baking spice. The finish is a beautiful meld of fruits and a fine grain finish. Crafted to enjoy today or through 2036.

Tasting Note: Purple to red garnet in color. Aromas of ripe raspberry, cedar, black cherry, plum and crème caramel on the nose are perfectly balanced and intense to ready the pallet. The flavor opens candied fruits such as cherries and dark peach. Cocoa powder deepens mid-palate into a more complex blend of plum, red earth, essence of vanilla and creamy supple tannins. It’s pretty and refined. Pair with surf and turf, braised short rib risotto and a beautiful sunset.

Tasting Note: The 2019 vintage hits all the right notes thanks to a stunning ripening year. Not as hot as 2018 or 2020, the wine is more elegant as a result. The warmer years bring more black fruit, but in 2019 we are back to the blueberry, red cherry and hints of dark plum. The palate is inviting and well-balanced, exuding flavors of blueberries, blackberry, with a deep mocha finish. This wine in such a great vintage, will age beautifully for many years.

2018 Game Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville
Tasting Note: The 2018 Game Ranch has a deep red color with purple edges. The aromas open with red perfumed floral notes, dark fruit, and a little vanilla. While anise is the hallmark of Napa Cabernet, this is a little riper than that, being more black cherry and blackberry. The mouth has a deep lush velvet taste that lasts throughout. Elegant with finesse. This Cabernet is fresh and focused with a creamy texture and layers of blackberry, mocha, and black cherry. The seamless tannin structure and balance culminate in an uplifting, lengthy supple finish.
