Fidelity

Alexander Valley | California

Nick Goldschmidt’s Fidelity series offers great taste and value. This popular blend shows how Zinfandel and Petite Sirah complement each other perfectly: Zinfandel offers robust blackberry, anise and pepper aromas and flavors. Petite Sirah brings blueberry, plummy fruit with roundness and structure to the mid-palate. The Zinfandel returns adding grace, length and elegance. Light-handed oak aging influences the Petite Sirah to add a chocolate note in the finish.

2022 Fidelity Red Wine, Alexander Valley

Tasting Note: The vineyard brings great depth of garnet purple color. The nose is immediately intense with aromatics of black plum, blueberry, black cherry and dried rose petals, accentuated by mineral undertones. The creamy, supple texture is framed by finegrained tannins. The freshness and soft level of acidity create a subtle tension with dark fruit flavors, savory herbs, espresso, and cocoa. A delicate dark chocolate bitterness lingers on the finish.

2022 Fidelity Zinfandel, Railyard Vineyard, Alexander Valley

I have been driving up and down the Alexander Valley since 1990. In so doing I have been privileged to make wine from some of the finest vineyards and “Railyard” in my mind would be in the top 5 sites of the area. This vineyard is amazing, facing east on loam soil makes this cool location very special. Ideal water, low vigor and great exposure leads to one of the most intense and mouth-filling wines you will experience from this great appellation. Try to drink only one glass….. Impossible.

Full-bodied and rich, this is a classic Zinfandel offeing up deep, complex flavors of blueberry pie, wild blackberry preserves and lastly, vanilla on the palate. This lush wine finishes with a velvety mouth feel.

4 Aug, 2022 – Ripe nose with lots of dried strawberries, currants and prunes. Rich and generous with some fruit sweetness and dark chocolate to close. Very smooth and flattering. Drink now.
