“We are trying to make the best single vineyard wines from the best properties that we know that truly represent the areas where they are from.” -NickGoldschmidt
Yolyn and I are both originally from New Zealand, have spent time living and working in Australia and South America, and now call Sonoma County our home. Our five grown children have been involved in Goldschmidt Vineyards, whether pitching in during harvest or helping out in the cellar with the winemaking.
As an internationally-based winemaker, I invite you to join me in exploring my wines from around the globe—Argentina, Australia, Chile, my native New Zealand, and California’s Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Discover new wine regions, try wines from new appellations, and enjoy “gold standards” like Napa Valley or Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.” – Nick Goldschmidt

Katherine Goldschmidt
Cabernet Sauvignon
Stonemason Hill, Alexander Valley
Tasting Note: Deep purple with a red middle with prevalent aromas of blueberry and dark cherry. A concentration of wild black berries, bitter sweet chocolate, maple with round supple tannins. While the wine shows off its generous structure and firm tannins, the finish is luxurious and velvet-like as it gracefully ends. Drink now through the next 10 years.
2018 Goldschmidt Vineyards
Cabernet Sauvignon
Yoeman Vineyard, Alexander Valley
Tasting Note: Deep mohagony; packed with raspberry and ripe black fruit characters expanding into mint and toasty oak aromas. On the palate, black cherry and plum layers weave seamlessly through the red tobacco and earthy overtones. Full-bodied and nicely balanced. Soft mid-palate with velvety tannins. Finishes with espresso bean.
